They also tried to retrieve the packages from our neighbor. Instead they were verbally abusive with us in front of our home; which lead to the police getting involved.

I had to file a complaint with the overall Postal Office HQs! Please use the Gainesville Post Office instead. I have had packages returned to sender...held my very important mail in stacks of other mail for weeks instead of placing it in my box and the list goes on. When I discussed it with the manager, it all came clear on why this place runs terrible. He had an attitude when I reported the problem. This is a very incompetent Postal office! Trust me, I've owned many PO Boxes before and never had a problem until I moved here.
This place has gotten a lot better lately, the staff is friendly and helpful.

My experience with them was a roller coaster. It was always horrible because they would constantly deliver my packages to the wrong home (and it was always the same, wrong home). We lost some packages that belong to my husband, things I bought for our wedding last year, and other things.
Today, my package was misplaced yet again and my heart sank. When I called, I spoke with Ray. RAY IS AMAZING! He located my missing package and redelivered it to my home in LESS THAN AN HOUR! If this ever happen again I will always request for him.
The local Haymarket Post Office, although very busy, is always courteous and helpful to the customer. I am not sure about the other reviews posted here. I have had no problems with my PO box the past year and they have always gone out of the way to assist me with any issues.
